Most of the time, the person flying the Avenger will be the one getting 85% this usually makes it easier for the host to time quitting the game right, especially if it's your first time doing the glitch. A trick to get rid of these helicopters is to park the boat near the sub team's location, press whatever button you use to exit a vehicle, crouch near one of the seats for protection, and shoot down the helicopter(s). In case this happens, use a boat where you can step away from the driver's seat while still in the boat. In case a boat fails to spawn for you, you can call for one through Pegasus. Step out of the Avenger and grab a boat that spawns near you so you can grab the sub team.
